Forward in Faith | Winter 2025

Judith Huang felt called to global missions. Raised in communist China, she first heard the gospel after moving to the U.S. Last fall, she and her daughter, Gabby, joined a Perimeter GO Journey to Thailand.

Judith chose Thailand because of its largely Buddhist population. “I wanted to share the Lord’s glory, love, and sacrifice on the cross with the unreached,” she said. Gabby was inspired by the impact a previous trip had on her mother. She said, “I could see in real time how that experience changed her life.”

In Bangkok, they partnered with NightLight International, ministering to trafficked women in the red-light district. “You rarely see such a scene of exploitation, poverty, and sin so clearly in suburban Atlanta,” Gabby said. “It was life changing.”

The team visited bars to talk to the women, prayer-walked the streets and worked in an outreach salon. A highlight of the trip was the banquet they hosted for rescued women and NightLight employees. “One rescued woman told us it was the first time she had laughed so much and felt loved after years of depression,” Judith recalled.

Reflecting on the trip, Judith shared, “I have a deeper understanding of God’s heart for the lost and His love for the poor, the marginalized, the oppressed.”

For Gabby, the experience renewed her faith. “I had been disillusioned and untrusting of Christianity, but in Thailand, I saw the miracles of Jesus and the love and bravery of so many believers. I had already been exploring my faith and wondering if I should walk back into Jesus’s arms and this experience gave me the motivation to do so. I hope to continue to grow in my faith and learn more about God.”

“It was so significant to see God’s saving grace at work in Thailand and beyond. Lives are transformed because of the power of the gospel.” — Judith
